The Benefits of Yoga

 

YogaYoga is one of my favourite forms of exercise and relaxation. The benefits of yoga extend far beyond just physical appearance.Along with improving flexibility, strength and overall toning yoga is a fantastic method of relaxation and finding space within your body. Taking time to breathe and feel the movements of your body helps you connect with your bodies movements, feelings and energy sources. Within your yoga practice you are at one with yourself giving you that ‘me-time’ which we all need. Learning how to breathe into muscles and allowing your bodies muscles to stretch is something you can do at any time of the day. You do not need any specialised equipment or fancy tools for yoga; just yourself, time and a quiet space. As it is becoming an increasingly popular exercise there is bound to be a studio in your local area. As well as being a great work out it is a fantastic way to meet new people who share the same interests so if you are looking for some ‘you’ time this year yoga could be the perfect choice for you.
