Toasted chilli seeds

These toasted seeds are so quick, easy and tasty that they are a pantry favourite in my house. They add an extra texture to any dish and are perfect added to any salad, sprinkled over any fish or chicken or as an addition to any savoury dish really!


Notice the difference in flavour and texture between raw seeds and toasted seeds.. which do you prefer??

Preparation
1. Add your coconut oil to a non stick frying pan and place over medium heat, allowing the oil to melt and begin to heat.

2. Once heated add in all the seeds and fry for 3-4 minutes until the fragrances begin to release and they become golden in colour. Now, add in your chilli flakes and season.

3. Toss the seeds around the pan ensuring they are cooked evenly.

4. Once golden in colour remove from heat and allow to cool.

5. Et voila... Enjoy!
Ingredients
* 1/2 cup of pumpkin seeds
* 1/2 cup of sunflower seeds
* 2 tbsp of sesame seeds
* 2 tbsp of coconut oil
* 1 tbsp of dried chilli flakes
* Sprinkling of pink salt & pepper, to season
